We have an exciting programme of events planned for you.  Details will be announced once we have confirmation of when and how the coronavirus restrictions will be eased.
>>   The Festival Event Centre will be in the two storey atrium of Richmond School (which houses the school dining room) and the paved area immediately outside.  There will be live music from a variety of local bands – which will perform on the mezzanine in the atrium – and stalls selling food and drink, including vegetarian and vegan food.
>> The original Richmond Town – which was founded 950 years ago in 1071 on lands granted to Breton Alan Rufus by William the Conqueror – is a historic market town overlooking the River Swale.  The terrain for the Long Distance Urban Event includes Richmond School grounds, the market square, snickets / wynds (narrow alleyways) between old buildings, yards, dead end open spaces that are usually private, the outside perimeter of the Medieval castle, the Friary Tower and gardens, riverside gardens and fields and the old railway station complex.
